摻雜MgO的LiNbO3,晶體較未摻雜LiNbO3,晶體具有高的光損傷閾值和高的非線性轉換效率,而且摻雜可以使拉曼散射截面增加和聲子模損耗減小。與LiNbO3晶體相比,MgO:LiNbO3 晶體在摻Nd激光器中的NCPM倍頻、混頻和光參量振蕩的應用中有其獨有的優勢。MgO:LiNbO3晶體在脈沖Nd:YAG激光器和連續Nd:YAG激光器中能夠分別地獲得超過65%的和45%的倍頻效率。MgO:LiNbO3晶體被廣泛地應用于光參量振蕩(OPO)、光參量放大(OPA)、準相位匹配及集成光波導中。
